Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups oat milk
  • 3 tbsp dutch cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • ¾ cup dark chocolate chips Note 1

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, whisk together the cocoa powder and sugar.
  • Pour in the oat milk and stir very well.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Turn the heat down, add the chocolate and whisk continuously until melted.
  • Remove from the heat. Carefully pour the mixture into mugs and serve.

Notes

  • Note 1: For vegan hot chocolate, be sure to use vegan chocolate chips. 
  • For a less intense chocolatey flavor, use 4 cups of oat milk. 
  • Store leftover oat milk hot chocolate in the refrigerator. 
  • Reheat in the microwave until warmed through. 
  • For a sweeter hot chocolate, add an extra tablespoon or two of sugar.
