Whipped Cinnamon Maple Butter

Carolyn
Whipped maple butter comes together in a snap and when you add the warmth of cinnamon it only gets better! Slather this butter on banana bread, roasted sweet potatoes, muffins, biscuits, or pancakes.

Equipment

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Large Bowl
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. unsalted butter, room temperature (1 stick)
  • 7 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 ¼ t. cinnamon
  • pinch kosher salt
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer combine the soft butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  • Beat on low until the ingredients combine and then beat on medium speed for 6 to 7 minutes until light and fluffy. Stop the beaters and scrape the bowl as necessary to make sure everything is well combined.
  • Scrape the butter into a small bowl or jar and enjoy on pancakes, waffles, or toast!

Notes

*If you want to make the butter sweeter without adding more maple flavor you can add powdered sugar a tablespoon at a time until you reach desired sweetness.
Alternatively if you would like your butter less sweet you can start without any powdered sugar and even less maple syrup. Taste it and then beat in more until you reach desired sweetness.
