This peach basil syrup tastes delicious in iced tea, lemonade, iced lattes, homemade sodas, and more! It adds a punch of peachy flavor and it's so easy to make.

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup peach nectar
  • 2 peaches, pitted and sliced
  • cup sugar
  • 10 basil leaves

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the peach nectar, sliced peaches, sugar, and basil (if using).
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir and break up the peaches occasionally.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve. Use a spatula to push as much as you can through the sieve.
  • Pour the syrup into a jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. This recipe makes approximately 8 ounces of peach syrup.
